Welcome to everyone visiting from Better After! I'm so happy you stopped by and I hope you enjoy your visit! If you have a minute, leave a comment below, so I know who you are. :) Thanks again and I can't wait to hear from you!
We had a few guests stay with us this weekend, which was just the kick I needed to spruce up the living room and switch out some accent pieces. Not only did I move around lamps and pillows, but I also gave the persimmon side table a permanent home!
I can't believe it's been more than a month since I turned this:
into this:
And even more than that, I can't believe it's my first complete furniture redo!
I'm happy that it FINALLY has a home!
In equally exciting news, those pillows in the first picture are "new." We got them for free from the girl that sold us our dining chairs, a little over a year ago, but could never use them because they didn't match the decor. Now that I have the persimmon side table, they seem to be the perfect summer accent!
I'm looking forward to pulling in a few more summer accents - maybe aqua, navy or lime green - but in the meantime, I'm just enjoying the energy that the table and pillows bring to the room!
Does anyone else change their house according to the season? I haven't been very vigilant about switching out seasonally - except for Christmas - but, I think that this is a pretty good start.
What do you think? Does the table work in this room?
It all looks so good! I love those pillows!!
ReplyDeleteHey Susan, I was reading the Better After blog and guess what I saw? Your side table! That is so awesome...congrats and you'll definitely get a lot of blog hits now! ~Casey
ReplyDeleteCasey - I can't tell you how excited I am! I am still in shock! :)
ReplyDeleteSusan! I saw the post on Better After! So exciting!! Did you stain the top of the table and then paint the bottom or vice versa? I am about to tackle a project that I want to do that, but can't decide what order is best?
ReplyDeleteHi Cameron! I actually painted first and then stained the top. If you check out my first post about the side table (from May) - Prepping for the Prep Work - you can see which products I used, and in which order. Good luck with your next project. Can't wait to see the results!
ReplyDeleteNice work! It all looks lovely... and now that I'm here ... I think I'll have a good look around. :o)
