Happy Birthday, America!

There are so many neat red, white and blue ideas for the 4th of July, so I thought I'd share a few quick and easy ideas I've seen recently. Between cook outs, pool parties and fireworks, I'm sure they'll come in handy.

For the first one, here's an adult-spin on the childhood favorite, the Bomb Pop:

Bomb Pop Martini

2 oz Bacardi Razz
2 oz Blue Curacao
2 oz lemonade
Capful of Grenadine

Shake Bacardi Razz, Blue Curacao and lemonade with ice. Pour into martini glass.
Slowly pour a capful of grenadine down the side of the glass so that it settles in the bottom. Sip and enjoy!

This second one is a very quick, easy and healthy option! It's especially great for parties with children.

Fruit Skewer Flag

Putting this flag together is super easy. You'll need about 13 wooden skewers, a medium-sized carton of blueberries and strawberries and about three bananas. As you can see from the picture, just arrange blueberries, bananas and strawberries on skewers to resemble the flag.

Have a happy and safe 4th of July! :)
