Several of the blogs I read leave me with so many great ideas and wonderful inspiration. The problem with all of these great ideas (besides the fact that I don't have enough time to accomplish everything) is that once it comes time to do my own projects, I can never remember which blog inspired me (or gave me step-by-step directions). So rather than trying to remember where I saw the tips on how to stain furniture or that simple DIY art project, I thought I would keep tabs of it all on here. And then not only will I remember where my inspiration comes from, you can link to the blogs I follow and maybe you'll get some new ideas too. It's a win-win for everyone!
On that note, here is my latest list of things that inspire me and projects I would love to tackle - someday.
House Projects
- DIY Artwork:I'm sure this isn't as easy as it looks, but with such simple directions I'm dying to make my own plywood artwork {tart house}
- DIY Cafe Shelves: I have a vision of a solid wood buffet sitting nicely in my dining room with open shelving above it and these DIY shelves would be perfect {the thriftress}
Inspirational Design
- Master Bathroom: I want to stain or paint our cabinets dark brown, like these cabinets (and I love the two side-by-side mirrors above the second vanity!) {k.f.d. designs}
- Living Room: Catalog Living might be a blog of mockery, but the couch in this living room matches ours and I love the pillows and area rug {catalog living}
Sewing
- Pillows: I really want to sew some of my own pillow covers, so this tutorial about sewing a zipper pillow and this one about sewing a zipper sham seem like a great start {prudent baby}
- Cheating Pillows: If the pillows above are a fail, I have all intentions of giving these no sew pillows a shot {centsational girl}
Cooking
- Grasshopper Brownies: Nothing screams spring like grasshoppers and nothing screams scrumptious like brownies ... combine the two and get these yummy looking grasshopper brownies {love & olive oil}
